1.  Strychnos Nux-vomica (Strychnine tree):-Taking Nux vomica for more than a week, or in high amounts of 30 mg or more, can cause severe side effects. Some of these side effects include restlessness, anxiety, dizziness, neck and back stiffness, spasms of the jaw and neck muscles,convulsions, seizures, breathing problems, liver failure, and death.

2.  Hemlock:- contains conhydrine, N-methylconine, but its most poisonous alkaloid isconiine, which has a chemical structure similar to nicotine. This poison disrupts the central nervous system—a small dose can cause respiratory collapse. Death canresult from blockage of the neuromuscular junction caused by coniine.

  3.  Ricinus communis (deadly ricin):-Ricin is one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances known. The seeds from the castor bean plant, Ricinus communis, are poisonous to people, animals and insects. ... Now we know that the agglutination was due to another toxin that was also present, called RCA (Ricinus communis agglutinin)

3.  Brugmansia(Angel's trumpets):- Angel's trumpet. Angel's trumpets are woody-stemmed bushes with pendulous flowers that hang like bells. They are prized as decorative additions to the garden because of their elegant flowers. The catch is that all parts of these plants contain dangerous levels of poison and may be fatal if ingested by humans or animal

4.  Laburnum(Golden chain tree):-All parts of the plant are poisonous, although mortality is very rare. Symptoms of laburnum poisoning may include intense sleepiness, vomiting, convulsive movements, coma, slight frothing at the mouth and unequally dilated pupils.

  • The mission of the Poison Garden also includes drug education, with featured plantings of cannabis, coca and the opium poppy, Papaver somniferum, foxglove, Atropa belladonna (commonly called Deadly Nightshade).
